Happy Halloween!

As you all know this past weekend was Halloween... and here on the island its just another good reason to go out and "celebrate." My night started at Maria's (One of the Ladies I work with) where we drank wine and had fondu. Than Andrea and I went trick or treating with her little girl Skylar around the neighborhood... which leads back to the point about "celebrating" because when you stop at houses the kids get candy and the adults get alcoholic beverages. Than I met back up with Megan, Melissa, and Chelsey and we headed to Wild Wings. Meg, Mel, and I were all dressed up as sexy cops (I will later post pictures do to the fact the pictures got deleted off of my camera). Wild Wings was amazing, they completely decorated to the new Batman theme and all of the employees were dressed as the Joker. Later in the night we headed to Riders to celebrate a little more. It was a long night that ended in me taking care of Melissa and Chelsey. The worst part was that I had to be back up in the morning to work at SunRise... which was an even longer day. In all it was a fun night out with all of our friends.

So... I have again been a slacker and have not updated my blog. Although nothing of great interest has happened. All I do is work, work, work, sleep, and occassionally lay out on the beach. This weekend I am heading back to greensboro for Luci's wedding, so I will post a new update when I get back to the island!

The Rain is Finally Gone!!!!!

Finally the rain storms from Tropical Storm Fay are gone! I can finally see blue sky and the sun again. Below is a picture of a storm cloud at the beach.

Since I have got back from Park City... I have just been working mostly every day and night. Next Monday (Labor Day) I start working full time at SunRise... which basically means I will be exhausted all the time.

Park City, Utah

Stephanie and I ventured to Utah with little miss Evelyn on a plane to visit Dad and Mom. Luckily Evelyn was good on the way to Utah and back on the plane. It was great to spend time with mom and dad and just relax. We mostly ate lunch out, spent time out in the town, and than hung out at home at night entertaining Evelyn. Below are some pictures during the week...

Evelyn playing with my sunglasses while out to lunch at Bandits

We took Evelyn to her first playground!!

Me and Evelyn sliding down the slide... she was not a big fan.

I think Mom and I had more fun playing in the park!

Dad and I took hike up the hill in our neighborhood to look at the sunset

Another beautiful sunset over the mountains

We went up to the Canyons to shop at the Farmers Market

Evelyn on her first snowboard... soon she will be all bundled up and on a snowboard with the rest of the family chasing after her down the mountain!

Life After Graduation

A week after I graduated from NC State University I moved to Hilton Head Island, SC. Megan, Melissa (my cousins), and I moved into a three bedroom condo at Palmetto Bay Marina. Its fabulous to be living on your own but paying the bills is not so much fun. I am currently still looking for a full time job that hopefully will use all the knowledge from the four year college degree that earned and my parents paid for. I have two jobs at two different restaurants... Sunrise Cafe and Boathouse II Restaurant. I love working in the food and beverage business but it would be nice to have a more 8-5 job, with weekends off.

For my graduation celebration and Melissa's 21st Birthday the family went to Disney World. Yes I know that sounds dumb and cheesy... but Disney World is a lot more fun when you can drink. We drank around the world at Epcot and than had a special VIP deck for the fireworks show, including cake and drinks.

Other than that trip away have been just living in Paradise on the Island. People plan their whole summer on coming to Hilton Head for one week and I get to enjoy it everyday. Of course I do have to work, so I do not get to go to the beach everyday but I try at least to go once a week.

Stephanie and Evelyn came and visited the family down in Hilton Head for a weekend while Daniel was out of town. Evelyn liked the beach but not so much the ocean. Evelyn also loved the Pool Bar but how could she not... it is the best place to hang out on the island. Although the weekend was short it was great to have Steph and Evelyn come down and visit.

One of the best things about moving to Hilton Head was that I get to be surrounded by family. As you know I live with my two cousins... but my Aunt Terri, Uncle Mikey, Nana, and Pappap also live on island. The family gets together every Sunday for family dinners. Also in these past summer months we get together on one Tuesday a month to go listen to beach music and have a picnic.

Also nothing has changed when it comes to myself and boys... I just cant seem to stay committed. The past couple months I have just enjoyed going out and having fun with whoever I chose to for the night. Yet within the past two weeks I have started dating just one person. He is a great guy and has a good job (which is not always the case on this island). So, I am just seeing where it goes...

My Sister (Steph), Evelyn, and I are currently visiting my parents in Utah. Its has been lots of fun and I will give you an update on the trip in a few days.
